Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is getting his own action figure

Move over, Batman. The Joker’s getting a new toy of his very own.

Who needs respect from NBA referees or national pundits? Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is now getting the action figure treatment.

Super 7, a toy and collectibles manufacturer in San Francisco, announced on Friday that Jokic, the Nuggets’ All-Star center and reigning NBA MVP, will be getting a toy likeness as part of a wave of basketball-related figurines due for release later this spring.

The Jokic figure will be part of the company’s “NBA Modern Supersports” line, which is made up of 3.75-inch articulated action figures of the league’s top stars.

The company’s initial wave of NBA action figures included players such as LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, Kawhi Leonard, Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Zion Williamson.

The collectibles are similar to the “Starting Lineup” figures of the late 1980s and 1990s, a range that featured Nuggets icons such as Alex English, Fat Lever, Michael Adams, Dikembe Mutombo and LaPhonso Ellis.

The figure is available for pre-order via Super 7’s web site and retails for $18.00. The company describes its Jokic addition thusly:

“He can post-up, spot-up from 3-point range, dribble & dish, and rebound. There’s not much Nikola Jokić can’t do for the Denver Nuggets! This 3.75 (inch) scale articulated NBA Modern Supersports figure of Nikola Jokić features the Denver Nuggets’ blue Icon edition uniform and comes with a basketball accessory.”

Super 7’s web site says the figures will ship in “late May.”
