After nearly two weeks of speculation, the Nuggets signed DeMarcus Cousins to a standard 10-day contract on Friday.
By signing him Friday, Cousins is expected to be available for the next six games, beginning against the Grizzlies tonight.
The veteran center was most recently with the Bucks, where he averaged 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds in nearly 17 minutes per game.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone has long had an affinity for Cousins, whom he coached for parts of two seasons in Sacramento.
The Nuggets had been searching for a backup center to help insulate Nikola Jokic and bolster the second unit, a source said.
